Natural Dog Company PawTection healing balm creates a nourishing, protective barrier for your pup’s paw pads allowing them to run free on any adventure year-round! How to Apply

Skin Soother
Distract, apply, reward!
With a distraction in tow (we love training treats or maybe their favorite toy) clean up any excess dirt or debris evident around the affected area. Use two fingers or a low-absorbent cloth to apply a generous amount of Skin Soother covering the area completely. Allow the area to dry (a nice belly rub always does the trick!) and follow up with a treat or play time for a positive reward!

Repeat one to three times daily. Consistent and frequent application to open wounds is crucial to protect against infections and harmful bacteria. Decrease application as the area improves.

Snout Soother
Distract, apply, & reward!
With a distraction in tow (we love training treats or maybe their favorite toy), clean up any excess dirt or debris evident around the affected area, and use two fingers or a low-absorbent cloth to gently apply a generous amount of Snout Soother to your dog’s nose. Follow up every application with a treat, playtime, a nice belly rub, or whatever your dog’s favorite reward is!

To start, we recommend applying the balm at least two to three times daily. Using the balm before bed is ideal due to the peak of healing and regeneration that occurs in dogs while they sleep.

Reduce frequency as your dog’s nose improves using less often to maintain a beautiful, healthy snout.

Pro-pup tip:
Give your dog a bone or favorite treat, go for a walk, play tug, belly rubs, or dab a bit of Snout Soother (or peanut butter!) on top of thier paw so they lick their paw instead of their nose. This will allow time for the carrier oils in Snout Soother to work their magic and deliver those healing nutrients deep into the skin.

Pawtection
Distract, apply, & reward!
With a distraction in tow (we love training treats or maybe their favorite toy) clean up any excess dirt or debris evident around the affected area. Use two fingers or a low-absorbent cloth to apply a generous amount of PawTection directly over your dog’s paw pads. Paws will be slick after application so allow the area to dry (a nice belly rub always does the trick!) and follow up with a treat or play time for a positive reward!

Apply anytime before going outside or before exposing your pup’s paws to any potentially harmful condition.

Pro-pup Tip: For pawsome results, use in conjunction with our Paw Soother balm!

FAQs

Skin Soother

What is skin Soother Recommended For?
Skin Soother can help with:

  • Minor wounds, cuts, scrapes, and burns
  • Rashes and skin irritations
  • Dry, flaky, and itchy skin
  • Allergy symptoms
  • Hot spots
  • Yeast infections and fungal infections
  • Canine acne
  • Post surgery scar treatment
  • Inflamed bug bites
  • Interdigitial cysts
  • Bacterial folliculitis, atopic dermatitis, impetigo, acral lick dermatitis or granuloma, seborrhea, and alopecia

What if my dog licks it off?
Natural Dog Company balms are 100% natural, safe, and edible. Our products will still work even if most of the balm is licked off. However, for best results, we advise using distractions to allow the balm time to absorb. Give your dog a long-lasting chew, a yummy treat, their dinner, or play with them for a few minutes until Skin Soother has had a chance to work its magic.

How often should I apply Skin Soother?
We recommend applying at least 2-3x daily. Frequent application to open wounds is important to protect against infections and to kill any existing harmful bacteria. Be sure to generously, covering the entire area. Decrease use with improvement.

How soon should I see result?
This is hard to say, it is varies greatly depending on the initial condition and frequency of use. Many customers see incredible results within the first week, while others make take longer. It is important to apply multiple times daily and try to distract your dog from licking in order to get the best results. Wounds have been proven to heal much faster with use of Skin Soother than those without.

Wrinkle Balm

What if my dog licks it off?
Natural Dog Company products are 100% natural, safe and edible. Our products will still work even if most of it is licked off. Though, for best results, we advise using distractions. Give your dog a raw bone to chew on, a yummy treat, dinner, or play with them for a few minutes until the carrier oils have had a chance to work it’s magic. We hear peanut butter works great!

How often should I apply Wrinkle Balm?
Frequent applications will help speed recovery and get the skin back to health. If an infection is already present, we recommend applying at least 2-3x a day – especially before bedtime when the body goes into regeneration mode and you can get the most healing benefits. Once the infection is cleared, you can reduce application to a few times a week to prevent further issues. For more stubborn and severe infections, we recommend our organic Skin Soother. Skin Soother is a stronger formula that will be able to clear any cases that Wrinkle Balm may be too gentle for.

How soon should I see result?
This is hard to say, it is varies greatly depending on the initial condition and frequency of use. Many customers see incredible results within the first week, while others may take longer. It is important to apply multiple times daily and try to distract your dog from licking in order to get the best results.

Is Wrinkle Balm unscented?
We do not add any fragrance enhancers into Wrinkle Balm. However, because it is made of organic essential oils and waxes, Wrinkle Balm does emit a very slight, clean scent.

What is the difference between Wrinkle Balm and coconut oil?
Wrinkle Balm actually contains high quality Virgin Organic Coconut Oil. However, our Wrinkle Balm formula is a powerhouse of 10 additional ingredients including several other moisturizing and healing oils and butters with a variety of favorable fatty acid characteristics. Wrinkle Balm also contains a proprietary and specially formulated Olive Leaf Extract that is oil soluble and extremely high in the constituent oleuropein. Oleuropein is prized for its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

What is the difference between Wrinkle Balm and Skin Soother?
While Skin Soother and Wrinkle Balm both have similar qualities, Skin Soother has a higher concentration of essential oils and is a more powerful formula. Because of this high concentration, it is not recommended for sensitive tissues, such as around the face and eyes. Wrinkle Balm is a milder formula and better suited for those areas. In similar instances, if there are problematic areas that are not being resolved completely with Wrinkle Balm, it may be necessary to use Skin Soother due to the more powerful formula.

Snout Soother
What use it Snout Soother recommended for?
Snout Soother nose balm for dogs can be used for the following:

  • Dry, Chapped Nose
  • Crusty & Cracked Nose
  • Hyperkeratosis
  • Windburn Prevention
  • Natural Sunscreen
  • Extreme Weather Conditions
  • Dry Skin around the face, lips and ears
  • Discoid Lupus
  • Brachycephalic Breeds

What if my dog licks it off?
Natural Dog Snout Soother is 100% natural, safe and edible. Primary ingredients include nut oils and butters, which can be appealing to dogs, so they may attempt to lick it off. This is perfectly normal! Snout Soother will still work even if most of it is licked off. Though, for best results, we advise using distractions such as treats or mealtime to allow more time for the product to work it’s magic!

How often should I apply Snout Soother?
The more often you are able to apply Snout Soother to your dog’s nose, the better. We recommend applying at least 2-3 times per day – especially before bedtime when bodies are healing and regenerating. Once your dog’s nose is healthy, you can reduce the frequency of applications to maintain a healthy and hydrated nose.

Can Snout Soother be used on other animals?
Absolutely! Snout Soother can be used on all animals – even humans!

What is the difference between Snout Soother and coconut oil?
Virgin organic coconut oil is amazing, which is why we include it in many of our formulas! However, coconut oil is a very light moisturizer and just does not have the same healing power as Snout Soother. We hear from many customers, who don’t get results from only using coconut oil, that they are finally able to heal their dog’s nose with Snout Soother.

What do I do if my dog resists applying the nose balm?
Many dogs do not want their noses messed with because those tissues are highly sensitive – touching IS painful even if they don’t show it (dogs are stoic by nature). Dogs also have many nerve endings in their noses. Imagine chapped lips – ouch!

There are several ways of accomplishing this (depending on your dog). What we hear the most from our customers is to make sure your dog associates the application of Snout Soother as a “reward” – not as a negative or confining situation.

Holding down or confining may not be the best option, either, as most dogs will resist or fear constraint. If you coax your dog with a FIRM, but gentle, approach (and sometimes treats), you should get a better response.

You might try holding a food reward in your hand and let your dog get a sniff of it. As he is licking or nibbling the treat, try to carefully swipe a bit of Snout Soother on your dog’s nose. If your dog begins to associate yummy treats with getting something put on his nose, you should have a better response.

You could also try tug toys or belly rubs – anything to distract your dog. Tug works well for many dogs and they will let you do just about anything to their noses with a tug toy firmly locked in their jaws. At that point, keeping the tug toy is way more important than worrying about anyone touching their nose.

Don’t give up! They will finally end up with a healthy nose and be able to live pain free.

Pawtection

What uses is Pawtection recommended for?
PawTection will provide healing benefits as well as prevent damage from the following:

HOT surfaces such as: pavement, sidewalks, gravel, rocks, sand, stone, concrete, decks, etc.
Harsh elements such as: salt, snow, ice, rough terrain, extreme temperatures, etc.
Helps to reduces effects of contact with allergens, like grass, pollen, or mold.
PawTection creates a protective barrier while also locking in moisture and helping prevent drying and damage.

Will Pawtection make my dog’s paws soft and more prone to injury?
Check out our blog article detailing (and debunking) these concerns here. Dog paw pads are naturally thick, but they should not be overly dry. Dry, chapped paw pads are more prone to injury from splitting and cracking. Healthy, moisturized paws will flex rather than split and actually allow dogs to get a better grip! Dry paws do not have any traction and dogs will have a harder time walking on smooth surfaces. Many customers use our Paw Soother and PawTection for agility training to help give dogs much better contact, safety and speed.

What is the difference between Paw Soother and Pawtection?
PawTection is used to prevent damage, while Paw Soother is used to heal existing damage. PawTection is a natural wax blend, so it provides a nourishing barrier between the paw and harsh surfaces and conditions such as hot pavement, sand, salt, ice, and snow. Paw Soother is a butter blend meant to smooth, soften, moisturize and heal dry, damaged, peeling, and cracked paw pads. Think: PawTection before going outside, Paw Soother before bed. Both have amazing collaborating qualities – making them the pawfect team!

How often should I apply Pawtection?
For best results, use PawTection before going outside. Reapply periodically when exposed to harsh conditions such as ice and snow and especially really hot pavement. Dogs feel pain on their paws!

1 review for Balm Me Snout to Tail Bundle

  1. Paris

Finally this has come to NZ!! We’ve been using these products for over 2 years and it was very hard to get from overseas (and shipping was extremely expensive). This combo is perfect to have as it covers all your needs! We have two French bulldogs so the snout soother, wrinkle balm and skin soother are our essentials!! Dumplings nose gets extremely crusty so we always use the snout soother and overnight it significantly improves! We always use the wrinkle cream to keep their folds nice and clean, it’s especially important for dumpling as he’s a cream colour so any redness is very noticeable. I highly recommend this set (will easily last you over a year) and all of my friends have purchased it too and love it! Perfect for first time dog pawrents who want to be prepared for anything!
